I'm in NYC, and I received a parking ticket that's hand-written, not one of the computerized ones. The ticketing officer left the Date field blank. I know there are certain required elements that make a ticket valid, but I have no idea what they are. At the very least I'd like to know if a date is required, but I'd also love to see a complete list, for future reference--seems like we've been getting tickets a lot more frequently lately. I searched this forum and came up empty--can anyone help me?

Thanks! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

You couldn't have looked very hard. It's only been posted several dozen times.

FWIW, I did several different searches, and either the search function on this forum isn't very good or I'm doing something wrong. I got exactly three results that were actually relevant, and in each case it was a newbie like me requesting the information, with several responses criticizing that person's faulty searching skills without actually providing the requested info.

At least this time you did answer my question, and for that I thank you.

Nice group of people you've got here.
