I was recently promoted where I work. The company policy is to run a background check and drug test on anyone receiving a promotion. My drug test came back clean, and my background check was fine except for some traffic tickets/violations I incurred last year. Despite this, they are terminating me! I have done nothing wrong to my company, and they ran the check AFTER I was already promoted but didn't mail the results until 3 weeks later. They're now deciding to terminate me after I brought it to my boss's attention that the traffic fines are only on the bg check because they're still being paid off. Do I have any case against this?
