What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Idaho

I worked past the time I was scheduled to go home caring for a resident in an assisted living center and claimed the time on my time card to be paid and then I was terminated from my job because I would not change the time on the card to the time the employer had scheduled me to go home and the employed called it "time card fraud".

Am I wrong in claiming the time I worked? ...or is the employer wrong in asking me to change the time, and then terminating me?

You have the right to claim pay for all time worked. Your employer has the right to terminate you for working unauthorized overtime.
