I am a waitress in a very busy restuarant in Florida. Every night I work I have to pay a percentage of the tips I make to the house (owners). This amount can very from between $20 to $60 a night. There are also 20 other servers that pay the same. I have heard that it was illegal in Florida for a salaried employee to take tips from an unsalaried tipped employee. Is this correct and does this apply to our situation? Is there any way we can get our money back? Please help!!!! This is costing me and my coworkers about $200 a week each. Thanks!!
