The answer is: YES! Your manager can require you to work at 2am if he wishes.

Or, to put it another way:

Unless he is holding a gun to your head, your manager cannot FORCE you to do anything.

However, if he tells you you have to work on weekends or holidays, you say no, and he fires you, that is 100% legal.
