What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ohio

my boyfriend is being held on two felony 5 thefts and he wants to plea to a bill of information

he was told that in doing this he is pleading guilty to the two charges and also admiting guilt to other thefts that have not been brought up yet. he says that if he does this they can not charge him with the other thefts down the road. is this true
