What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california.
I saw a posting for my job online. I am still employed with my company, is this legal?

Yes, so you'd better choose one or more of the following:

1. Start looking for a new job.
2. Start doing your current job better.
3. Have a discussion with your boss.

I recently ran an ad to fill the position of someone whose employment with our company wasn't working out, and that very person submitted an application!

How do you know it's for your job? Maybe they're hiring a second person to do the same duties. Maybe they're opening a new location.

But even if it is for your job, it's legal.
