What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania

I work for a family owned business that started out small and grew into a large corporation. I have worked with this company for 6 years, and I recently got promoted in to accounts receiveable/payable from customer service. My problem is that my boss and his wife spend enormous amounts of money out of the corporate account. His personal secretary (who he leaves in charge of bank reconciliations) knows about this spending and says that she "yells" at him about it all of the time, but "he doesn't listen". Recently I decided to make a total of the monies spend for personal use and it came to over 20,000 dollars in a months period. I am not an idiot and i know that he is not supposed to be spending out of a company account for personal use, and I have decided that I want to comfront him about it myself (no one else seems to care enough to make a big deal). Our company is on the verge of bankruptcy and we can barely make payroll each week. What are my rights if he decides to fire me for making a stink about this? I do not want to lose my job, but i feel like if i don't say something, the company is going to go under anyways.....some advice on what to do would be appreciated.

How do you "know" that they can't spend money out of the corporate account?
I would fire you for insubordination for butting in to matters that aren't your business.

why would it be legal for someone to spend out of a company account? This company is on the verge of bankruptcy and they spend 20,000 dollars a month on porn, clothes and shoes.

There is nothing illegal about it unless they are trying to deduct personal expenses as business expenses on the tax returns.

Do you review the business' tax returns, also?

No I don't, maybe I was out of line then by looking in to this, but I am so mad that I barely even get paid some weeks and they are off spending the company money like rockstars. What do I do if I end up not getting paid one week or they pay us a week late?

IF that happens, you file a wage claim with the state DOL.

Don't forget, they own the business. Not you.

As an owner of a corporation too, I can tell you that I have much of my personal money invested in the company as well as all the profits. At any time I can legitimately write myself a check for anything from my invested monies. If you don't like the way I spend my money, you're welcome to go work somewhere else. Unless I do something illegal, you need to keep your opinions to yourself. What's good about your situation is that you went out to try to get the facts BEFORE you approached your employer.

thank you

Well, thank you everyone for your advice. I'm glad I decided to get some before I said something. I actually decided that I will take that last hint of advice, and go work somewhere else. You are absolutely right, I do not like my employers spending habits; and I can't work for someone who puts his own "wants" over the "needs" of his customers and employees. Just for the record, I have officially not been paid this week, but at least his wife got her new wardrobe yesterday. Now I can sleep better tonight :)
