What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania
I work for a family owned business that started out small and grew into a large corporation. I have worked with this company for 6 years, and I recently got promoted in to accounts receiveable/payable from customer service. My problem is that my boss and his wife spend enormous amounts of money out of the corporate account. His personal secretary (who he leaves in charge of bank reconciliations) knows about this spending and says that she "yells" at him about it all of the time, but "he doesn't listen". Recently I decided to make a total of the monies spend for personal use and it came to over 20,000 dollars in a months period. I am not an idiot and i know that he is not supposed to be spending out of a company account for personal use, and I have decided that I want to comfront him about it myself (no one else seems to care enough to make a big deal). Our company is on the verge of bankruptcy and we can barely make payroll each week. What are my rights if he decides to fire me for making a stink about this? I do not want to lose my job, but i feel like if i don't say something, the company is going to go under anyways.....some advice on what to do would be appreciated.
