What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
Hi, I applied for a position that offered flexibility yet no benefits back in September. Once I applied the director interviewed me and we agreed on a starting day. When I found out I was pregnant I explained that I wanted to confirm that I could have said flexibility. Upon telling the director this she told me to forget about the "relief" position and to apply for a full-time job with benefits that would be coming up in a few months. I did, and as far as I know I am the most qualified candidate.
I finally found out 2 months later, that I had not been chosen for the position. However, I was interviewed by 2 people and it looked very promising.
Would I have a possible case against the director. She has gotten into trouble in the past for promising jobs to people when there were actually no positions. Can anything be done about this situation? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
