I'm being terminated, basically because they say there is not longer a job for me. What are the pros and cons of being fired vs resigning?

If you are being terminated because there is no job for you, that is not being fired, it's being laid off. You can then usually collect unemployment.

If there's more to the story, then resignation may be the best answer, as it saves face.

Other than that, let them lay you off.
