What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Kansas

Please refer to explanation of events and tax questions in the tax law forum. I am also trying to learn if there are any other benefits we should look into since he was only 67yo and retired for 3 yrs? We are primarily looking into SS and his pension. He was receiving both but not very long. Seems a little unfair for the guy to pay in so long and not get much back.
