I was "fired" on Monday, though my employer offered me a 75% pay cut to work from my home. When I told him I would not be able to do this, he said, "So, I take this as your resignation". Last week, he asked me to do something that is illegal, I refused to do so. Since then, he had an attitude, I was excluded from company meetings, etc. The problem is I had a non-compete saying that I would not work for a competitor for 12 months within a fifty mile radius of the state. I can't file unemployment because I "quit", I have no concrete proof of illegal activity. What can I do?
