What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? GA. The company I currently work for is planning to outsource their finance functions to another country. Before laying off all their workers, they are requiring that we sit with a group of people to tell them in detail all of our functions. They are using Web-Ex to copy our functions on the computer and record our voices as we go through each step of our processes. Does anyone know if it is legal for this company to do this? It is bad enough that we are losing our jobs to foreign countries due to cheap labor (the executive in charge of this outsourcing told us that they will pay $5k a year for a professional accountant in the foreign country), but now we are being forced to participate in creating manuals for them to use.

Of course it is. You probably don't have to do it though, if you're not covered by a contract - you could just quit, but then you certainly wouldn't get unemployment or a package.
