What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

So I was just sent home from work on a job I started on Monday because of some erroneous criminal charges, including a felony on the background report done on me. The agency my employer used somehow screwed up big time and got someone else's criminal record on my report(I have no criminal record). I have been told by the company that I need to appeal this info and once that is settled I can be rehired, however as of now I am technically terminated and will be losing income due to this.

Do I/will I have any kind of recourse over this?

Thanks

What kind of recourse are you looking for? You have no cause for any legal action. All you can do is correct the misinformation then reapply for the job.

So the company you work for submitted your social security number, address and soforth to the agency, and the agency came up with someone else's criminal record?

Hmmmmmm.

Although hard to believe, it's not completely far-fetched. Something similar once happened to me.
