What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

What is the statute of limitations to sue a former employer for wrongful dismissal and libel/slander?

You have 90 days from the time you receive your 'right-to-sue' letter from the EEOC to file suit.

If the EEOC wouldn't be involved, then 99% certain you were not wrongfully terminated according to the law.

You have 180 days to file with the EEOC.

I think the SOL is two years for FMLA violations that result in terminations.

But not all wrongful terms are created equal. The SOL depends on the type of wrongful term you think you have.

I don't agree with the poster above; if the EEOC is not involved, then in my view it's 97%, not 99%, sure that you weren't wrongfully terminated. There's a SLIGHT chance that you still were. But not much of one.
