I was laid off from my job and was told I signed a non-complete agreement in Feb of last year.
I have requested a copy of the agreement and was told I would have a copy mailed to me.
How long does my previous employer have to get me my copy?
I do not recall signing anything and was out of the country on the dates they said it was signed.
The digital copy that I saw was very long, 3-4 pages and does not have any spots to initial each page. It would seem anything that I signed was then changed.
What contractual laws are there for the format of such agreements?
I have a client who wishes to fire my previous employer and wants to hire me but under this agreement that would not be able to take place.
