mediation in Florida to "washout" a workman's comp case. mediaiton occurred dec. 4, 2000. march 5 asked to sign papers resulting from mediation to go to court for approval. several inconsistencies, terms not the same as in mediation agreement. asked that they be corrected. as part of mediation agreed to sign a resignation and release. was asked to sign those papers march 5. did not sign anything and asked that terms of contract agree with those of mediation also asked that statement be included that the resignation/release null and void if the settlement was not approved by the court. my attorney reply was that "that was understood." shouldn't that be clearly stated in the settlement agreement or should the resignation not be signed until or unless the court approves the settlement?
