I work 37.5 hours per week. I was told this is part time to my company. Is there a state law regulating what is full time and what is part time? Is 37.5 hours full time? or is 40 hours a week full time?

Pennsylvania - BNA Labor Relations Reporter:

"Maximum Hours Before Overtime - 40-hour week; 10 hour day, 48 hour, 6 day week for seasonal farm workers." (43 PS Sections 333.104 and 1301.207).

"Amount of Overtime Pay - 1 1/2 times regular pay for hours in excess of 40 per week." (43 PS Section 333.104)

Get this one --

"Mandatory Time Off/Day or Rest - Worldly employment or business on Sunday is prohibited, except for works of necessity and charity and wholesome recreation." (18 PaCSA Section 7361). Special provisions for particular types of selling activity; sports, etc. (18 PaCSA Section 7361). "Motion picture places must allow each employee 1 calendar day of 24 consecutive hours of rest in each calendar week." (43 PS Section 481).
