I recently filed a small claim against my former employer. They have been served. I then recieved a notice from thier employers (via mail not certified)that says they are filing a counterclaim. Should I do anything, or wait until my pre-trial conference to discuss their claims??????

Also on a side note they are being represented by a law firm that I called about this case before I filed it,they reffered me to another lawyer, does this put them in a conflict of interest or anything and should I mention this to anyone.

Any advice would be helpful as I am going solo on this.
