I am from Michigan state. Can you tell me what the laws are regarding overtime pay (over 40 hrs) and break/lunch times? Thank you.

According to the BNA Labor Relations Reporter,

Michigan --

"Maximum Hours Before Overtime - 40-hour week; 10 hours a day in factories, workshops, salt blocks, saw mills . . . other places used for mechanical or manufacturing purposes."

"Amount of Overtime Pay - 1 1/2 times regular pay for hours in excess of maximum."

"Required Meal/Rest Periods - No general provisions."
