my daughter was offered a job at a chain store and told by the manager to give a 2 week notice at the store she currently worked at. he had her fill out a W-4 form read the emplyee handbook, fill out direct diposit form, and provide id, and social security card copies. all put in an employee file with the companies name on it. now that she has 2 days left at her old job she went to the new company only to find that the manager that hired her has transferred to a new store and the current manager has no schedule for her and didn't know she had been hired. she was left with the impression that she does not have a job with them. they are trying to reach the former manager. what are her rights?
