2 weeks ago i accepted a postion at a new company. I signed an agreement for a back ground check. on friday i was called and welcomed and given training hours. i reported to work on monday everything was fine. on tuesday i was called into office and told i was convicted of welfare fraud in 99' in the state of california. and sent home. i was told i would have 72 hours to prove it was not me. by 5:30 on tuesday i had certified documentation faxed to the company showing the case number they gave me was clearly someone else. on wendsday i was called at home and told that they were sorry for the mistake but now other factors had showed up on my report so they can no longer continue my employment. i was told they could not provide me with the other factors that i would need to call the county clerks office. is this wrongfull termination? I have never been convicted of a felony.
