What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA
Can a person get a seperation while the spouse is in Jail, he will not be able to get out for about 5 yrs. There is children involved and I know you have to be seperated for 2 yrs in VA before the divorce. Please help me. I am asking this for another person. Thanks.

Yes...An inmate can be served in prison.
