My husband was arrested last July on a felony drug possession charge. The crack was found on the passenger side of his car and it belong to the person he was given a ride. This person jumped out of the car and ran, he was not caught, but later on ended up in jail under another charge. The police have charged him with felony drug possession charge, this is his first felony charge, he does have another charge in another county for drug parafanilia with intent to use. Plus he is a recovering addict. In the state of Georgia how are first offense felony charges handled and what should he do regarding this case. The other person pleaded quilty and was given three years and probation time.
