What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? In Fulton County, GA: Won a judgement by default (defendant did not show up for court as required). Defendant has filed a motion to vacate based on a "sudden, unexpected, and traumatic family emergency" the weekend prior to court date. I have an email from the defendant stating she was "well aware of the consequences of not appearing in court."

While I am not required to be in court for her motion, I would like to contest it. Any advice? Suggestions? Case law? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
