What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ct, my wifes mom passed away june 19th 2009-she signed over her house and property to my wife -caroline and her brother walt-walt is living in her house -they have power of attorney also-jointly-caroline is disabled now and cant work full time in her profession-caroline is not working now and has no income coming in-walt is a correctional officer and has a electrcians business-walt pays no rent other than half of the mortgage and taxes-they have the house up for sale-walt took carolines moms car and is using it for himself now -also they had the moms jewelry in a joint safe dep box-walt cleaned it out and put the stuff in his own safe dep box giving caroline no acess to it-should walt be paying some rent and can caroline force him to sell the house to recoup her half-we dont know what to do walt is extremely unwilling to bend on any issues-thank you
