What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Illinois

I need to know what the requirements of a POA are in Illinois. I've tried looking it up online, and everything says something different. I need to know, if there has to be witnessed and signed by them, if it has to be filed with the courthouse in our area, and things of that sort. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

You really should keep posts pertaining to the same subject in one thread.

But, here is a link to the IL Power of Attorney Act:

A quick read says to me: principal signature, one witness, notarization.
