What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Brooklyn, New York

I live in coop in Brooklyn. I have a parking spot in building's garage since December 2004. Building management advised me that I have not been paying for my parking spot since 2005. When I asked why I was not billed for parking, management advised that due to some glitch in the accounting they stopped charging me. I regularly pay my coop maintenance fees and I was under the impression that garage fee was included in the bill. Now management tells me that I owe to the building more than $3000.

What are my rights in this case? Can I dispute these charges? Please advise. Thx.What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

**A: you have every right to pay the $3000+.
