Is a renter still obligated to pay rent to a landord when the property went into forclosure and can he recover funds in small claims court?

Till the property changes hands to a new owner or a judge declares your lease or rental agreement void, you are still required to pay rent to your landlord. Just because the rental went into foreclosure means you get to live in it for free.
