If a job was offered with a relocation package (in Virginia) stipulating that the employee would have to pay back expenses incurred if they voluntarily resigned, does the rule still apply if the job was misrepresented? The job responisbilities and travel requirements were significantly different than stated at time of interview. I resigned after 3 months and just received a bill. The position went from being marketing to systems focused ( I have NO systems background) and from having no travel to traveling once every other week.
