What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Montana

In 2006 I got a parternity test that excluded me by dna as being the father of a child. THey kept trying to get money from me and sending me notices. Around 8/23/08 I got a court summons to Orange County court, and on 8/25/08 I got a notice saying my case was terminated. Yesterday I got served for court again, after calling Orange County Child SUpport Services, they looked at my case and said they didn't know why it was reopened and i was exluded by DNA. Do I have a case for harassment against them i would really like to know. Thank you

No. In the first place, it's not harrassment or any other tort I can think of offhand. In the second, it's the government. You have nowhere near enough damages or skills/money to even think of suing them.

I believe there are several Orange Counties in America. Which one are you referring to? I notice you are in Montana.

Your best bet would be to shell out a few bucks and hire a lawyer. If OC gets a court order making you responsible, that is enforceable in every State. It would really suck to suddenly have your wages garnisheed in a few years with no recourse.

Your attendance is required whenever you receive a summons. If you don't show up, a default judgment will most likely be found against you.
