What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL

I own a home in a subdivision that was completed 4 years ago however the Village has not yet "accepted" the subdivision. We are experiencing some problems with a catch basin and are concerned the Village will not pay for the work. We have asked the Village when they will accept the subdivision and what needs to be done for this to happen however we keep hearing "we are waiting for an answer from the Village attorney" for the past 3 months.

Since the Village has not "accepted" the subdivision can they deny responsibility for the work needed for the catch basin?

Does anyone know where we can find more information on the process of subdivision "acceptance" in the State of IL?

The development company was dissolved and the Village did release all bonds they held against the developer.
