I have received, via the regular mail, a Notice of Hearing which "requires" me to appear at a criminal hearing to be held in the Family Court of Delaware. (Defendant is a minor student of mine who was involved in a fight which I witnessed.) Am I legally required to take off from work and appeal at this hearing. Does the letter I received the same as a subpena? Do I have any options?
