We bought property about 8 years ago, and the neighbor asked if they could cut across our property to access part of theirs that is landlocked by a creek. We agreed. They are wonderful people and we get along well. They lease out the ground to a farmer who works the fields and they hunt on their woods, always gaining access through our gate. But the Father recently died, and they are talking about selling the land. We do not want just anyone using our property as access. Can we chose to stop letting them use our property to get to theirs? Do we need to do it "legally"? Does it matter if it changes ownership? Thanks very much for your help!!
