What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California, North Hollywood
Hi, I am a board member, and one of the condo owners states that there is water damage due to leaks and states we should pay. We are in agreement but We have tried contacting her several times over the last few months and even sent our a general contractor a few times to assess the damage so we could fix it.
But she will not let him in, she's always making excuses and now shes threatening to sue us because we will not give her money until we can assess the damage.
Is there anything we can do to make her take responsibility or is there a time frame to damages she can claim? We do not want a lawsuit and want to comply but it seems she is trying to wait until this gets out of hand....
Our goal is the see and fix the damage, but if she doesnt let us do that, will she win in court if she decides to sue like stated?
