can a company change a policy and pre date it to a date 3 months ago. (in the state of Illinois)
Last September my company sent a memo out stating that we would have a set number of paid Sick days, effective January 1, 2001. March, 2001 they sent a new memo out stating that the number of days were lessened as of January 1, 2001 (from 10 to 5). In the interim, I had the flu, and now they will not pay me those days. Is it legal to do this?
