What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Dakota
I had a restitution judgement entered following my burglary conviction.
According to our states court website it says it was discharged by the statute of limitations. One lawyer tells me there is no statute on this and another tells me there are no criminal judgements the court would have to order a civil one and it can't be collected after ten years. It is no longer on my credit report which I don't know what to think. If there is no statute wouldn't this been on the credit report until it's paid in full? Totally confused.
Thanks for any and all advice.
