I got a contract engagement for a second time with this very influential company in Palo Alto CA. The CEO is indian
and his employees in Palo Alto are 70-80% indian on H1B.
I made every effort to gain a FT position this time around
but it seems they have preferential treatment towards H1B
and Indians or other H1B's. As US citizen I am very upset.
I have a 2 months old baby and paid taxes in this country
for 20+ years. No other business has sold out so badly to
special interest groups and import labor as the Software
Industry. What are the laws ? Don't they have to advertise
jobs for local, legal residents before they 'give it away'
to the H1B holders ? I feel I have been discriminated against based on age and nationality !!!!! (I am 44 and
spent 20+ years in IT)
