What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Pennsylvania

I have just separated from my husband. We were married in a civil ceremony on 9/12/09. Can you receive an annulment if you were married in a civil ceremony and not a religious ceremony?

You would have to meet the state guidelines for an annulment. It has nothing to do with whether or not you were married in a civil or religious ceremony.

Whether you qualify for an annulment or not, divorce is ususally cheaper and quicker.
