Is there a statute of limitations in collecting on a judgement? Landlord took me to small claims court in June of 2003 and won. I was unable to attend court because of incarceration. I was incarcerated from May 26th 2003 till May 22nd 2008. Just last week Nov 2009 I was served with a granishment for wages on Judgement from June 2003.What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Yep. The SOL on an Iowa judgment is 10 years, and can be renewed.
So, the original judgment is valid and enforceable until June 2013.... and can be renewed for another ten (until 2023).
