What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana
I was wondering what percentage of my retirement will my wife get out of my pension when we divorce.

50%, maybe less.

50% of whatever portion of your pension accrued during your marriage.

Right. Be sure to deduct the value as of the date of marriage.


And don't forget to request half the marital portion of any retirement accounts, 401k funds or IRAs the spouse accrued during the marriage. Even if it was you that deposited them (sometimes annual IRAs are purchased for non working spouses).
