What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado.

If an insurance company does not work with me on an injury accident I may file suit (which I am trying to avoid). Unfortunately I also may need to file bankruptcy. Will that negate any civil suit? Or can I file bankruptcy as long as it is discharged before filing the civil suit? Thanks for any advice.

You won't be able to file BK to avoid giving your creditors the settlement money.

If you are considering filing suit, you must have a lawyer. Ask him.

Yep but he doesn't want to have to give the money he wins to the people HE owes money to. That's fraud.
