What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oklahoma

I recently settled a estate of a family member. I was the only heir.
The total tax owed was $93,000. AFter all bills from my family member was paid that reduced the tax to $64,000. My Personal respresentative fee was $53,000 which reduced the federal tax to approx $39,000. I was told the PRF was to be paid to me. However I still had to write the check for $64,000. Where does the $53,000 come into play? Why wasn't my check to for the federal tax $39.000?
