What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AZ
I recently got a citation for "urinating in public" in Scottsdale, AZ and have to appear in court. What are the penalties/fines in AZ for this citation (Section 19-19)?

Here is the section:

Sec. 19-19. - Public urination or defecation prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person to urinate or defecate in a place exposed to public view, except by proper use of a toilet or other suitable facility provided for this purpose.​

It appears to be punishable as a class 1 misdemeanor which seems to be up to 6 months in jail and/or a fine of up to $2,500.
