Thanks. This was the original story though - before the car accident and his admission, etc. It was this story the girl sold about his first mistress. It was published a couple days before the accident, and then after the accident everything blew up.

Anyone have a guess as to why this wouldn't be blackmail, as to me it seems similar to the Letterman case? (where the girl who sold the original Tiger Woods affair story to the Enquirer, had also been negotiating with Tiger's lawyers, but their offers weren't satisfactory so she sold it to the tabloid)

...also does anyone know where the 1st post in this thread went? I can't see it.
