What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY

Both my elderly parents have wills leaving everything to each other. At the same time everything they have (house, bank account) is in joint names.

Am I correct that when one of them passes away it would not be necessary to probate that will?

Thanks. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
