What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? montana
we have a homeowners association board that has monthly meetings that are open to all homeowners. the past few months, issues discussed have been recalled differently by different people, and name calling and rude behavior has occured that is denied by offenders. can a board member or homeowner come to these open meetings and say they want to audio or video tape the meeting to help confirm what is said and hopefully tone down some of the more rude behavior? if some or all of the board does not want to be recorded, does that stand and the meeting cannot be recorded? is there a precedent to cite? all of our city meetings are video taped and broadcast on our local channel.
