What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?Ohio
My husband has a pretial today and I have been notified to appear on the 26the trial. In 08/2009 we had a fight and it got physical due to some other issues that have since been resolved. his charges are DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & AGGRAVATED MENACING. no one else saw the domestic violence. I had a CPO or protection order and had that resended by sending a letter to the judge. my husband I are back together & doing great. I would like to know what my opptions are or what the likely outcome will be. hireing a lwayer is out of the question no money.
Should he ask for a public defender today?
do you think they may dismiss the case if I go with him today?
do you think they will plead him out?
I do not want to testify against him can they make me?

He should ask for a public defender. They can make you testify against your husband. They can allow a plea OR they can dismiss it -- whether or not they will depends on the prosecutor.
