What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arizona
My wife is being sued by a lawyer who attemted to take some property she owns with her ex by paying past due taxes and attempting to foreclose. When we found out we went down and paid the back taxes and penalties. He is now suing for his expences and time. Does he have any right to do this?

Simple answer.... yes.
Anyone can sue almost anyone else claiming almost anything.
Whether he has a valid cause of action will depend on the FULL facts... and the court will decide.
